Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 20 June, Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov had a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan, Kubatbek Boronov.
According to the press service of the head of the Government of Uzbekistan, Aripov congratulated his colleague on assuming the post of prime minister and expressed confidence that with his appointment, the Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations will gain new momentum, will progressively develop and will further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
During the conversation, the parties planned to hold a meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Bilateral Cooperation in the near future.
The last meeting of the government delegations of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, headed by the Prime Ministers of the two countries, took place in August 2019 in Bishkek.
Earlier, the Prime Minister of Uzbekistan sent a congratulatory letter to K. Boronov in connection with his appointment as the Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan.
