Lord Sheikh arrived in Uzbekistan to take part in an international round table “Uzbekistan’s foreign policy activity within the framework of the Strategy for Action”.

The sides discussed issues of further development of Uzbek-British relations, giving them new dynamics, the press service of the Uzbek foreign ministry said.

It was noted that the inter-parliamentary dialogue is one of important components of bilateral relations, which has a stimulating effect on strengthening cooperation in the political, trade-economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres.

The sides also exchanged views on upcoming joint events, including the holding of the next meeting of the Uzbek-British Trade and Industry Council in London.
