Abdulaziz Kamilov receives delegation of the European Parliament

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 2 November 2018, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received a group of deputies of the European Parliament led by Iveta Grigule-Peterse, the head of the Delegation for Relations with Central Asian Countries.

During the conversation, the parties gave a positive assessment of the results of the regular meeting of the Uzbekistan-European Union parliamentary cooperation committee, held on 1 November in Tashkent.

It was noted that it was held in the spirit of an open, constructive and trustful dialogue and allowed the deputies of the Oliy Majlis and the European Parliament to discuss the prospects for interaction.

It was emphasized that regular and fruitful contacts between the legislators of Uzbekistan and the EU, the exchange of work experience are important components of bilateral relations.

The meeting also addressed other issues of the joint agenda.

The Head of the EU Delegation, Ambassador Eduards Stiprais, took part in the negotiations.
