The delegation included the Director of Europe and Central Asia Division Hugh Williamson and the Director of Central Asia Office Stephen Sverdlov.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the parties discussed topical issues of bilateral relations.
It was noted that the integrated program of profound changes put forward by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in the Strategy of Action for the five priority directions of the country’s development in 2017-2021 opens new opportunities for constructive and mutually respectful cooperation between Uzbekistan and Human Rights Watch.
Representatives of Human Rights Watch shared their impressions of the numerous meetings held in state and non-state structures in Tashkent.
During the conversation, the sides also exchanged views on other issues arising after the pause of the agenda of interaction.
