Abdulaziz Kamilov receives Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 13 September 2019, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates Mohammed Khareb Al-Mehayribi, who is completing his diplomatic mission in our country.

The conversation discussed the state and prospects for the development of bilateral relations, as well as interaction within the UN, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and other international and regional structures.

It was emphasized that the main results of the official visit of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the UAE on 24-26 March 2019 were the established high level of trust and mutual understanding between Uzbekistan and the UAE, the intensification of trade, economic, investment relations and cultural and humanitarian exchanges.

The parties exchanged views on proposals on the timing and agenda of upcoming bilateral contacts at various levels.

At the end of the conversation, the Minister congratulated Mohammed Khareb Al-Mehayribi on the successful completion of his fifteen-year activity, first as the Consul General and then the first UAE Ambassador to Uzbekistan, and expressed appreciation for his personal contribution to the development and strengthening of interaction between the two countries.

The ambassador, in turn, thanked the Uzbek side for assisting in its activities as the head of the UAE diplomatic mission in Tashkent.
