Abdulaziz Kamilov meets with the U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with Special Representative of the United States of America for Afghanistan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad, in New York.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, the parties exchanged views on the situation in Afghanistan and possible ways of developing the peace process.

The course of implementation of socio-economic and infrastructure projects initiated by Uzbekistan in Afghanistan was also discussed.

The parties reaffirmed their interest in the speedy achievement of national reconciliation and a political settlement of the conflict in Afghanistan.
