Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan national team and Manchester City defender Abdukodir Khusanov has been listed among Asia’s most valuable footballers, according to the German portal Transfermarkt, which specializes in football statistics and market valuations.
The 21-year-old defender’s current market value is estimated at €35 million, placing him among the continent’s top players.
Following Transfermarkt’s October update, Bayern Munich defender Kim Min-jae’s valuation fell from €40 million to €32 million, while Brighton midfielder Kaoru Mitoma’s dropped from €40 million to €35 million. As a result, Khusanov is now level with Mitoma, sharing second place among Asia’s most valuable players.
A Japanese forward continues to lead the rankings, while the top five also include Takefusa Kubo of Real Sociedad (€30 million) and Kaishu Sano of Mainz (€25 million).
