Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A 59-year-old woman who has been diagnosed with coronavirus has died in the city of Denau in Surkhandarya region. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health.

She passed a coronavirus test on 19 June. The woman was hospitalized. Doctors diagnosed her with acute bilateral bronchopneumonia of the lungs, severe acute cardiac and respiratory failure, and suspected coronavirus. She has also been diagnosed with concomitant illnesses.

Despite the efforts of doctors, the patient died of cardiovascular and respiratory failure. Later, a coronavirus test taken from a deceased showed a positive result.

According to the Ministry of Health, relatives and other citizens, who were in contact with the woman are in quarantine.
