Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A 73-year-old woman living in the Sergeli district of Tashkent was diagnosed with COVID-19 and was admitted to the Zangiata multidisciplinary infectious diseases hospital.

According to the Ministry of Health, the patient was diagnosed with a severe form of COVID-19 and bilateral pneumonia. The disease was accompanied by complications - acute respiratory and heart failure.

The woman also suffered from concomitant diseases such as ischemic heart disease, angina pectoris, hypertension, cerebrovascular disease, chronic pyelonephritis, and chronic cholecystitis.

Due to complications of the disease, the patient’s condition worsened, and she died of acute respiratory and cardiovascular failure.
