Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A decision of the Government “On measures to further improve the activities of the Tashkent State University of Uzbek Language and Literature named after Alisher Navoi” was adopted.

In accordance with the document, Tashkent State University of the Uzbek Language and Literature named after Alisher Navoi was identified as the basic university in such areas as improving the teaching methodology of the Uzbek language and literature in higher educational institutions, advanced training of teachers in this subject.

The University has established a Training Center on the basics of office work in the state language and advanced training, which has the status of a legal entity, as well as units in the regions at state universities and pedagogical institutes.

One of the main tasks of the center is to increase the speech culture and public speaking skills of public servants and the public, and to organize courses on clerical work in the state language.

Employees of ministries and departments, khokimiyats and business associations are trained at the Center and its territorial units on a paid contractual basis.

For students studying on the job retained position and average monthly salary at the main place of work.

Starting from the academic year 2020/2021:

- In the direction of the bachelor’s degree in Uzbek language and literature, correspondence and evening courses will be organized at state universities and pedagogical institutes;

- The University will train personnel in the areas of master’s programs "Simultaneous Translation" and "Computer Linguistics."

Also, starting in 2020, when conducting competitions for the scholarship of the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation, the sphere of the Uzbek language methodology will be taken into account.
