A Tourist Complex for 1 Million Visitors to Be Built Around Arashan Lake in Namangan Region
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A large-scale tourism project is planned in the Namangan region, involving the construction of a new complex around Arashan Lake. This was announced by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during a meeting on the socio-economic development of the region.
According to the head of state, the tourist complex will be located in the Pap district on a site covering 1,200 hectares and is expected to accommodate up to one million visitors per year.
The President also emphasized that, to train qualified personnel needed for large tourism projects, a joint faculty will be opened at Namangan State University in collaboration with Krems University (Austria) starting from the new academic year.
