A special agency to license pharmaceutical activities

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Amendments and additions were made to some decisions of the Government of Uzbekistan.

According to the amendments, the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry under the Ministry of Health is now the licensing body for pharmaceutical activities (this was previously done by the Ministry of Health).

Also, this agency will oversee manufacturers and wholesalers of medicines and medical devices.

Now, the type of medicine will also be indicated in the license for the production of medicines.

The license applicant must connect to the pharmaceutical control and accounting information system and submit to the licensing authority information for the past month no later than the fifth day of each month.
