A “Smart City” System to Be Launched in Chirchik by the End of 2026

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A “Smart City” system is planned to be implemented in Chirchik to improve the efficiency of urban infrastructure management and enhance the quality of public services.

The initiative is being carried out in accordance with the instructions of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, issued during a videoconference on October 21, 2025, dedicated to the development of artificial intelligence technologies and their application in public administration and the social sector.

On 1 November, the hokim of Chirchik, Murodjon Abdurakhimov, together with his deputy Akmal Ermetov, visited the city of Urgench in the Khorezm region to study the experience of implementing the “Smart City” project based on AI technologies. The officials exchanged experience in optimizing management processes, improving service delivery, and promptly addressing public utility issues.

The system in Chirchik will be implemented in stages and is expected to be fully operational by the end of 2026. It will provide round-the-clock real-time citizen feedback, enable the identification and resolution of public utility problems, and help prevent potential failures in urban infrastructure using artificial intelligence.

The project aims to create a modern and convenient model of urban management, promote the widespread use of digital technologies, and improve the quality of services provided to residents.
