A seminar dedicated to the future of intellectual energy takes place in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A workshop on the future of intellectual energy was held in Tashkent on 22 May 2019.

The event was organized by Wärtsilä Corporation (Finland) and Smart Asia Labs LLC (Uzbekistan) with the support of the Embassy of Finland in Uzbekistan. It was attended by employees of the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan.

The Ambassador of Finland to Uzbekistan Maria Liivala addressed the audience with a welcoming speech.

She noted the high rates and effectiveness of reforms carried out in the energy sector of Uzbekistan, and assured that Finnish experts and specialists are ready to share their experience and technologies with their Uzbek colleagues in this area.

During the seminar, issues and ways of a fundamental transition to modern methods of obtaining energy and modernizing energy systems were discussed, the growing role of renewable energy sources in the energy supply system and the economy of the world was emphasized.

It is worth noting that the seminar is of a practical, applied nature for specialists in the energy sector, which was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan and departmental enterprises. Attention was paid to specific examples and cases on energy security in various countries of the world. The participants discussed the modeling of the energy system and optimization in Uzbekistan.

Experts from Wärtsilä talked about the characteristics and differences between different technologies and how the flexibility of power plants based on internal combustion engines can be used for various purposes.

The workshop was divided into three thematic sessions.

The first was devoted to current trends in energy and future prospects. During the session, participants familiarized themselves with the latest trends and driving factors in global energy markets, as well as with Wärtsilä’s view on intellectual energy.

The second session covered the issues of modeling a modern energy system with specific examples.

The theme of the third session was the basics of power plant technology on internal combustion engines. Participants talked about the benefits and areas of application of these technologies, asset management over the life of the product.

The interactive format of the seminar allowed its participants to get answers to all their questions.
