A Robot Barista May Appear at Tashkent Airport

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan Airports has listed new lots for lease at Tashkent International Airport on the E-auksion electronic platform.

On the airport’s main grounds, spaces of 30 sq. m and 53 sq. m have been put up for auction, intended for airline containers and companies providing aircraft maintenance services. The starting annual rent is set at 144 million and 254 million soms, respectively.

Additionally, a robotic coffee kiosk is planned for installation in the international departures terminal. A 3 sq. m lot has been offered for this purpose at the auction.

According to Uzbekistan Airports’ press service, tenants must fully comply with technical specifications. Participation conditions, company requirements, starting prices, and auction rules are posted on the E-auksion website.

Under the regulations, initial bids may increase by at least 10% during the auction process. The auctions are scheduled for 7 October 2025.
