Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 23 August 2019, the Protocol on cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the United Arab Emirates on the mutual exemption of holders of diplomatic passports from visa requirements, signed on 25 March 2019 in Abu Dhabi during the official visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the UAE, entered into force.

The document regulates the granting to holders of diplomatic passports - citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the UAE of the right to enter, leave, follow transit and stay in the territory of the state of the other party without issuing visas for up to 90 days.

Given the intensification of bilateral cooperation with the UAE, the Protocol contributes to the prompt resolution of organizational issues during mutual visits of official representatives - owners of diplomatic passports of the two countries.
