Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan and alifshop.uz launched a joint pilot project to provide electronic devices, including tablets and laptops, in installments on preferential terms for teachers.

Within the framework of the agreements of the parties at the first stage, the project will be implemented in three schools in Tashkent to test all mechanisms. The project at the first stage will cover secondary schools No. 144, No. 217 and No. 222 of Tashkent.

Teachers of the above schools will be able to purchase tablets and laptops in installments.

In Uzbekistan, measures are being taken to increase the status of teachers in society. In particular, teachers’ salaries have been increased. In 2019, more than 6 thousand teachers purchased cars. The new initiative is a logical continuation of work in this area.

“One of the main goals of the Ministry is to increase the status of teachers. To achieve the goal, we work with public and private organizations. We express gratitude to the alifshop.uz project for cooperation and the provision of installments for the purchase of electronic devices for teachers, ”said Anvar Umarov, press secretary of the Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan.

It should be noted that the registration of installments for the purchase of equipment is voluntary. On February 6, representatives of alifshop.uz held meetings with teachers of schools No. 144, No. 217, and No. 222 to clarify installment conditions.

Based on the results of testing the mechanisms, the provision of equipment by installments, the parties will consider the possibility of expanding the project to all schools in Tashkent and other regions of Uzbekistan. It is also planned to expand the range of equipment that can be purchased in installments.
