Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – The twelfth patients with coronavirus died in Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Health said in a statement. The patient on the ventilator died from cardiovascular and acute respiratory failure.

The patient was a truck driver, who carried out international freight transportation. It is reported that the infected arrived in Surkhandarya region from Russia through Tajikistan.

On 5 May, he was hospitalized in the regional infectious diseases hospital, where he later was diagnosed with a coronavirus infection.

On 11 May, he was taken to the intensive care unit with a diagnosis of severe acute bronchopneumonia and severe COVID-19 infection.

Despite the medical assistance provided, the patient who was on the ventilator died from cardiovascular and acute respiratory failure.
