A parliamentary delegation of Uzbekistan holds meetings in South Korea
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A parliamentary delegation led by Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbaeva held a number of meetings during the visit to the Republic of Korea, during which various aspects of bilateral cooperation were discussed.
So, at a meeting with the President of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), Lee Mi-kyung, the sides discussed issues of further expanding cooperation in implementing projects, aimed at innovative development, supporting small and medium-sized businesses, and improving pre-school and public education systems.
At the same time, an agreement was reached on preparations for the implementation of a pilot project on employment and female entrepreneurship in Jizzakh region.
Members of the parliamentary delegation of Uzbekistan met with Seoul Mayor Park Won-soon.
During the meeting, issues of deepening cooperation between the administrations of the capitals of both countries were discussed. It was said about the holding of the Days of Tashkent in Seoul, the Days of Seoul in Tashkent, as well as the organization of visits to Seoul by deputies of the Tashkent city Kengash of people’s deputies to study the experience of the capital of the Republic of Korea on issues of supporting small and medium-sized businesses, the interaction of self-government bodies with city structures, and the introduction of an effective management system the city.
The importance of further strengthening twinning relations between Tashkent and Seoul was noted. Constructive cooperation has been established in the fields of education, the exchange of experience, joint events are being held, regular mutual visits of representatives of the capitals are carried out.
So, a vivid demonstration of the development of twinning relations between the capitals was the creation of the Seoul Park in the center of Tashkent. The opening of the memorial monument "In gratitude to the Uzbek people from the Koreans of Uzbekistan" has become another symbol of the indestructible fraternity of two peoples.
At a meeting with Hyundai Motors Deputy Chairman Sang Jin Kim, members of the delegation were informed about the implementation of the draft Hyundai commercial vehicle manufacturing agreement, which is currently submitted for consideration to the Namangan Regional Khokimiyat.
Sang Jin Kim expressed his readiness to make every effort to launch the project as soon as possible and expressed hope that the newly created enterprise will serve to increase the investment potential of the Namangan region.
During the talks between the parliamentary delegation of Uzbekistan and the head of Lotte Group, Shin Dong Bin, an exchange of views took place on various aspects of expanding bilateral cooperation.
Lotte Group expressed its willingness to post videos on the tourist opportunities of Uzbekistan and organize performances by artists of Uzbekistan at entertainment facilities of Seoul.
