A New Railway Line Opens at Ok Kuprik Station

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A new railway line, Line No. 10, was commissioned on 13 November at the Ok Kuprik station, marking the completion of construction that began earlier this year.

The opening ceremony was attended by Deputy Chairman of JSC Uzbekistan Railways A. Kamiljanov, Director of Production at Kazakhstan Temir Zholy Bauyrzhan Urynbasarov, Chairman of JSC Temiryulinfratuzilma S. Norkobilov, as well as department heads and the management of the Tashkent Railway Operations Department, including the station administration.

Guests were presented with detailed information on the station’s transformation over the past two years.

The key highlight of the event was the arrival of the first freight train from Kazakhstan along the newly commissioned line, underscoring the importance of strengthening international cooperation and integrating the railway networks of neighboring countries.
