Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan will establish a national reinsurance company named “O‘zbekiston qayta sug‘urta kompaniyasi” (Uzbekistan Reinsurance Company), following a decree signed by the President of the country.

The document aims to further improve the reinsurance system and enhance its role in ensuring economic stability.

According to the decree, the priority tasks for 2025 include increasing the volume of the domestic reinsurance market to 4 trillion soums, growing the export of reinsurance services by at least 30%, and intensifying international cooperation with the attraction of investments amounting to up to 150 billion soums in this sector.

The newly created national reinsurance company will carry out all types of reinsurance activities in accordance with the legislation regulating insurance operations.

Its key objectives will be to provide comprehensive risk protection for direct and portfolio investments, as well as to ensure insurance coverage for investment projects implemented by both foreign and domestic investors in Uzbekistan’s economy.
