A modern energy-saving substation to be built in Tashkent region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The implementation of the project will increase the sustainability of electricity supply in Tashkent and the capital region.

Within the framework of the project, it is planned to build a modern energy-saving substation that distributes annual electricity with a voltage of 500/220/10 kV with a capacity of 1,400 MVA, power lines with a total length of 410 km, including 322 km with a voltage of 220 kV and 88 km - 500 kV.

For this, land will be allocated on the territory of the gathering of citizens of the Pakhtazor makhalla of Kuyichirchik district of Tashkent region. The National Electric Grids of Uzbekistan will not reimburse the losses of agricultural and forestry production, but will compensate the owners, owners, users and tenants of land plots for losses incurred, lost profits and costs for their assessment.

A preliminary agreement on financing the investment project has been reached with the World Bank. In December 2020, it is planned to conclude a loan agreement. They must finally decide on the sources of financing, and receive the conclusions of the examination of the project documentation within 4 months.

During 2021 - early 2022, they will prepare and conduct a tender for the selection of a contractor. Construction and installation work will be carried out in 2022 - 2023. The commissioning of the project is scheduled for the 4th quarter of 2023.
