A memorial to employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, who died during duty, opened in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On the eve of Constitution Day of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a ceremonial opening ceremony of the updated Memorial to employees, who died during duty, took place at the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Tashkent.

Veterans of internal affairs bodies, family members of the deceased employees were invited to the event. The guests, accompanied by music performed by the Separate Exemplary Orchestra of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Uzbekistan, went to the plaques where the portraits and names of the fallen heroes are engraved.

Major General R. Djuraev, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate of Tashkent, addressed the meeting with a welcoming speech. He warmly congratulated those present on the 27th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of Uzbekistan and emphasized that remembering colleagues who heroically died in the fight against criminals is a matter of honor for the current and subsequent generations of the police department of the capital.

Earlier on the plaque, the names of 28 heroes who died during duty were engraved. After the reconstruction, the names of four other employees were added: the search department inspector, senior lieutenant Matkarim Matchonov, traffic police inspectors, police foreman Musa Gashimov, and police foreman Olimjon Askarov died at the Uch Kahramon traffic police post in 1988, and Sergeant Tashkent Suvonkulov died heroically in 1989. , while on a business trip in the city of Fergana. The leadership and personnel of the metropolitan administration and its regional links will never forget the feat of their heroes.

Participants of the event as a sign of respect for the heroes and paying tribute to their memory, laid flowers at the foot of the monument to the Sorrowful Mother and the memorial plaque and honored the memory of the fallen with a moment of silence.
