A meeting with the Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 26 September, on the sidelines of the 18th Ministerial Meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states responsible for foreign economic and foreign trade activities, the Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov met with the Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Federation T. Maximov

The parties discussed the course of investment and trade and economic cooperation, taking into account the strategic nature of the partnership between the two countries.

In this context, the role of measures already taken to strengthen interaction between the economic entities of Russia and Uzbekistan was emphasized, which led to a significant increase in trade and joint investment projects in promising sectors of the economy.

At the same time, opportunities for further strengthening economic ties, the growth of mutual trade and the diversification of investment cooperation were considered. The voiced proposals will be worked out by the parties in priority order.
