Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 3 December, in Tokyo, the Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Sardor Umrzakov met with a deputy of the House of Representatives of the Japanese Parliament, an adviser to the president of the committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games of Japan T. Endo.

During the meeting, a wide range of multifaceted cooperation between the two countries was discussed, which was given a powerful impetus over the past few months.

In this context, the interaction of Uzbekistan and Japan in the field of the development of physical culture and sports, support of state and public organizations in the preparation of national teams and sports reserves was particularly affected.

The Japanese side expressed its readiness to comprehensively support the participation of Uzbek athletes in the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.

The positive trends in strengthening investment, trade and economic cooperation, as a solid basis for the strategic partnership of the two countries, were also discussed.

Following the meeting, the parties reached an agreement on close interagency cooperation within the framework of common areas of activity and mutual interests.
