A meeting with a representative of UNESCO was held at the Preschool Education Ministry

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Ministry of Preschool Education and the representative of UNESCO discussed preparations for the IV Asian-Pacific Regional Policy Forum on Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE).

On the eve of the Ministry of Preschool Education, a meeting was held with the delegation of UNESCO, consisting of the head of the section on inclusive quality education of the Asia-Pacific Bureau in Bangkok, Ms. Maki Hayashikawa, the official representative of UNESCO in Uzbekistan, Mr. Jan Hladik. The meeting marked the beginning of fruitful cooperation in organizing the IV Asian-Pacific Regional Forum on ECCE Policy in Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the Minister of Preschool Education, Agrippina Shin, introduced the guests to the work carried out in the field of preschool education for two years from the moment the new Ministry was formed. She also noted that it is a great honor for the image of our country, that Uzbekistan was chosen as the venue for such a large-scale forum in the field of preschool education.

At a fruitful discussion of the general concept of the forum, as well as about the upcoming work, Ms. Maki Hayashikawa emphasized that it was incredibly glad that UNESCO's goals in ECCE are almost completely consistent with the goals and objectives set by the Ministry of Preschool Education.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed on support and cooperation in all matters regarding the organization of the upcoming forum; an organizing committee of specialists in this field is going to gather from the Ministry of Preschool Education for fruitful and effective work with UNESCO representatives.
