A man with a pneumatic gun detained in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Employees of Tashkent city police and the National Guard detained a man with a pneumatic pistol and a knife “kukri” in Sergeli district of the capital.

On 21 October, at about 12.00, Tashkent city policy received information that a man with the gun is waling around Sergeli car market. Officers of Tashkent police and National Guard arrived to the scene and detained 39-year old man.

The detainee was taken to clarify the circumstances and was taken to the police station in Sergeli district. As the detainee explained, he arrived to the car market for the sale of Matiz and Epica cars belonging to his relative. He said that he had no intention to hurt people and shot exclusively to the air.

During the verification of the identity of the detainee, it was established that the man is registered in a psycho-neurological clinic. Immediately after this fact became clear, he was placed in a medical institution. As a result of the incident, none of the visitors to the car market was hurt.
