Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – A man from Samarkand passed away with a diagnosis of coronavirus.

According to the Ministry of Health, a resident of Samarkand arrived in Uzbekistan on a charter flight from St. Petersburg on 27 May and was placed in a quarantine center.

On 1 June, the man confirmed the infection with COVID-19, and he was hospitalized at the clinic of the Research Institute of Virology in Tashkent.

A patient with coronavirus infection has been treated for many years for diseases such as acute leukemia, severe chronic anemia, and respiratory failure.

Later, the patient’s condition deteriorated sharply, and he was placed in the intensive care unit. Despite the efforts of doctors, the man died from acute respiratory and cardiovascular failure.
