A Man Assaulted a Shop Assistant with a Gun in Akhangaran
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — An incident involving a firearm occurred in a shop in Tashkent region. According to the regional Department of Internal Affairs, on October 22 in Akhangaran district, a 33-year-old man, R.K., entered a store where his wife by religious practice, 35-year-old Sh.N., was working, and during an ensuing conflict, inflicted bodily injuries on her.
The victim sustained minor injuries. A criminal case has been opened against the man under Part 2 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (“intentional infliction of minor bodily harm”). Investigative actions are currently ongoing.
It was noted that R.K. has been a member of a hunters’ society since 2021. The firearm seized from him has been handed over to the relevant authorities, and his hunting license has been revoked.
The incident drew public attention after a video of the event was circulated on social media.
