A Logistics Center to Be Built in Ferghana Region with Iranian Investment

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Khokim of Ferghana Region Khairullo Bozorov held talks with Iranian investor Hosseini Ali to discuss prospective projects in logistics and trade.

According to the regional administration, the investor plans to implement a US$42 million project to construct a modern logistics center in Kuvasay.

The complex will occupy a five-hectare site near the border with Kyrgyzstan and will specialize in processing and exporting fruits and vegetables. The project is expected to create around 60 new jobs.

In addition, Hosseini Ali intends to open an Uzbek-Iranian Trade House in Ferghana. The three-story building will include a hotel and exhibition halls, which, according to the investor, will strengthen trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Iran and attract additional investment to the region.

The regional khokim emphasized his readiness to provide full support for these initiatives, noting their importance for regional development and the significance of launching the projects on schedule.
