A Janitor from Uzbekistan Saved a Seven-Year-Old Boy Who Fell from the Seventh Floor In Saint Petersburg
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In Saint Petersburg, a seven-year-old boy survived a fall from the seventh floor thanks to the bravery of a janitor from Uzbekistan, who caught the child with his bare hands.
The incident occurred on Petrozavodskaya Street. The boy was playing near an open window, slipped, and grabbed onto the windowsill.
The janitor noticed the child inside the apartment and shouted for him to move away from the window. When the boy’s strength gave out and his grip loosened, the man managed to position his hands and catch him.
After the rescue, the janitor immediately carried the boy into the building entrance, where neighbors and the rescuer himself provided first aid until medical personnel arrived.
According to media reports, the boy has autism. He sustained a broken leg and internal injuries and is currently in intensive care. The child’s parents have not commented on the incident.
The rescuer, Khairullo Ibadullaev, had arrived in Saint Petersburg from Uzbekistan four months ago for work. He has four children and elderly parents back home.
Ibadullaev suffered fractures to his hand and ribs and was also hospitalized. Despite his injuries, he reported that his condition is currently stable.
The story has drawn widespread attention, and Khairullo Ibadullaev’s actions are already being hailed as heroic.
