A group of teachers awarded the badges "Khalq ta’limi fidoyisi"

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Today, on 5 February 2020, a group of teachers were awarded with the badges “Khalq ta’limi fidoyisi”.

The awarding ceremony was held at secondary school No. 238 of Uchtepa district of Tashkent. Minister of Education Sherzod Shermatov handed badges to teachers. A total of 69 teachers were awarded with the badges “Khalq ta’limi fidoyisi”.

Teachers received awards for their dedicated work and contribution to the development of public education, the education of young people in the spirit of patriotism and the ideology of national independence.

Persons awarded with a badge will also receive a lump-sum cash reward in the amount of four times the base calculated value.

The Minister of Public Education of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov noted: “Large-scale reforms are being carried out in the public education system. The main direction of the reforms is to increase the status of teachers in society. Such events aimed at encouraging teachers will stimulate their work and attract talented young people to this sector. ”

It should be noted that on 29 April 2019, a decree of the President of Uzbekistan “On approval of the concept of development of the public education system of the Republic of Uzbekistan until 2030” was adopted. The document envisages the implementation of measures to increase the role and status of teachers in society. In particular, the decree provides for the rewarding of public education system employees with state and industry awards.
