A group of pilgrims return to Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A group of pilgrims of Umrah-2014 pilgrimage of Ramadan month from Ferghana Valley, Bukhara and Samarkand regions returned to Uzbekistan on 27 July 2014, the press service of the Committee on religious affairs under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan said.

The committee said that currently 249 pilgrims from Uzbekistan are in Mecca and Medina.

The Umrah-2014 of Ramadan month will end on 29 July 2014 and each group stayed in Saudi Arabia for 10 days – three days in Medina and seven days in Mecca.

Overall, 670 pilgrims from Uzbekistan performed Umrah pilgrimage during Ramadan month. Three special flights on route Tashkent-Jeddah-Tashkent will be conducted for them.

The group of doctors, cooks and members of the working group provided various services to pilgrims, the committee added.
