A draft of the Interstate program of innovative cooperation of the CIS member states for the period until 2030 was approved

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On the basis of the CIS Executive Committee, the 26th meeting of the Interstate Council for Cooperation in the Scientific, Technical and Innovative Sphere (MS NTI) was held by videoconference.

One of the main issues was the discussion of the draft Interstate Program of Innovative Cooperation of the CIS Member States for the period up to 2030, prepared by Rossotrudnichestvo and an international group of developers.

The program will ensure the development of mechanisms for state support of the innovation sphere, its coordination, make a rational choice of interstate priorities and critical technologies as a subject of cooperation, develop the scientific, technical and innovative potential of program participants for the long term, expand the range of innovatively active companies and increase the attractiveness of innovative activities for young people scientists, engineers, and specialists to develop an innovative culture.

The program helps to strengthen the scientific and technical base of the research space of the CIS, promotes the formation of network structures for scientific and technical cooperation, encouraging all interested parties to create, share and apply knowledge.

The interstate group of program developers has prepared 29 main (industrial and technological) areas (strategic areas) of cooperation, including “Intelligent transport and logistics systems, including in terrestrial conditions, in the sea and air space”, “Digital production systems and industrial infrastructure” , “Highly productive agriculture, forestry and aquaculture, including agrological solutions, biotechnologies, veterinary medicine”, “Sensory, Internet technology robotics and components "," Photonics", "Biotechnology and genetics", "Infrastructure and resources for Basic Research (megasayens)" and other priority areas.

11 key initiatives of the Program were also proposed that significantly enhance the ability of universities, research institutes and small and medium-sized innovative enterprises to organize joint work, intensify the commercialization of innovative products, and increase the export of innovative solutions, services and services of the CIS countries to global markets.

The draft Interstate Program of Innovative Cooperation of the CIS Member States for the period until 2030 was approved taking into account the comments made and proposals of the members of the STI MC, then it will be considered in the governments of the CIS countries, and approval of the Program is expected at a meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the CIS in November 2020.
