A draft law on the status of the teacher has been published for discussion

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan published a draft law on the status of a teacher for discussion.

The document defines the principles of state policy, regulates legal, social – economic relations associated with the activities of the teacher.

The draft law is aimed at creating conditions, which ensure the improvement of the quality of the legal status of teachers of educational institutions, the implementation of guarantees of their social protection.

Teachers are citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan or citizens of any other country, who have the necessary pedagogical education or state diploma, giving the right to engage in teaching activities necessary and sufficient for its management at a level that ensures the required quality of the educational process, working in educational institutions, performing educational , scientific, methodical, educational, organizational and management activities.

Deprivation of the status of a teacher due to insufficient qualifications, an immoral act incompatible with educational activities, is carried out in accordance with the law.

The document defines the rights and duties of the teacher, and also regulates the issues of training and retraining of teachers.

The draft law states that it is not allowed to involve teachers of educational institutions in forced labor, including landscaping and planting of areas and cities, collecting scrap metal and waste paper, as well as seasonal work in agriculture and other similar works.

Parents of students are not entitled to unreasonable intervention in matters that, by their nature, fall within the range of professional duties of a teacher.

Also, the document will regulate issues of material and social security, as well as the promotion of teachers.
