A delegation of Uzbekistan visits Pakistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 1 November, 2018, a delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan headed by Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Kamilov paid an official visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
The Uzbek delegation was received by the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan.
In Islamabad, meetings were held with Foreign Minister Mahmoud Kureishi, Commander of the Ground Forces of the IRP Armed Forces, General Kamar Javed Bajwa, Chairman of the Joint Chief of Staff of the IRP General Zubair Mahmoud Hayat.
During the talks, key issues of the bilateral agenda, promising areas for further development of the Uzbek-Pakistani relations in the political, trade, economic, investment, transport and communication, cultural, humanitarian and other fields were discussed.
The sides also exchanged views on regional issues, primarily on the situation in Afghanistan. The importance of coordinating international efforts was noted to begin the process of a political resolution of the Afghan crisis.
The meetings also addressed other issues of mutual interest.
