A delegation of Uzbekistan participates in the Delhi Conference on Education

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From 30 October to 1 November 2018, the 14th International Conference on Higher Education on the topic: “Universities of the Future” was held in Delhi.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India.

The purpose of the conference is to study the best practices of India in higher education, development of cooperation between universities in India and foreign countries. About 1,500 local and international participants took part in it, including delegates from 65 countries, including Uzbekistan.

The delegation of Uzbekistan included representatives of the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Al-Khorezmi, Tashkent State Institute of Oriental Studies, Bukhara State University, Karshi State University, as well as the private business school “Profit Training”.

The event included meetings in the format of "B2B", "B2G", "G2G", as well as organized excursions to universities in India.

During the workshops, round tables and presentations, representatives of higher education institutions in India and foreign countries shared their best practices.

The delegation of Uzbekistan held meetings with representatives of more than 10 different educational institutions in India, during which prospects for cooperation between the respective universities of Uzbekistan and India were discussed.

The conference participants noted that today the newest technologies have a significant impact on the system of higher education in the world - artificial intelligence, virtual reality, blockchain and others. Therefore, the usual education system is becoming a thing of the past, the process of teaching and learning is changing, the financing of universities is being modernized.

The completion of the conference was marked by a solemn awarding of universities in India in various categories.
