Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A delegation led by the chairman of the Senate Committee of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on international relations, foreign economic relations, foreign investment and tourism Alisher Kurmanov met in the Bundestag, departments of the Federal President and the Federal Chancellor and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Germany, Dunyo reported.

In particular, negotiations were held in the German Parliament with the Deputy Chairman of the Bundestag, Hans-Peter Friedrich, at which the development progress and prospects for inter-parliamentary cooperation were discussed.

The Office of the Federal President of Germany held a meeting with the foreign policy adviser to the head of the German state, Thomas Bagger, where the parties confirmed their interest in the further development of bilateral Uzbek-German multifaceted cooperation.

With the deputy director of the Department of Economic, Financial and Energy Policy of the Office of the Federal Chancellor Helen Winter, issues of financial and technical cooperation, the republic’s accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO) were discussed.

Along with this, a meeting was held in the country's foreign policy department, in particular with the coordinator of the Federal Government of relations with Russia, Central Asia and Eastern Europe at the German Foreign Ministry, the Bundestag deputy Dirk Wiese, at which an exchange of views on the prospects for developing bilateral cooperation in the political sphere took place.
