The Speaker of the Legislative Chamber informed the guests about ongoing large-scale reforms in the country.
In particular, it was noted that in accordance with the Strategy of Action on the five priority development directions of the Republic of Uzbekistan fot 2017-2021, the state and territorial programs are currently being implemented, which are aimed at accelerating socioeconomic and socio-political development of the country.
Nurdinjon Ismoilov noted that at the same time, much remains to be done. In this regard, it is urgent to study international best practices.
The Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan noted that lately there has been an intensification of relations between the highest representative bodies of the two countries. The high intensity of interparliamentary interaction is evidenced by the fact that from 2016 to the present, deputies of the Legislative Chamber carried out 7 visits to Kazakhstan in order to participate in various events.
Parliamentarians of Kazakhstan also repeatedly visited Uzbekistan. Mutual visits, participation in various events, exchange of experience allowed establishing close working contacts between the parliamentarians of the two countries, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev emphasized.
During the meeting participants discussed issues related to further strengthening of inter-parliamentary relations.
