A dairy-commodity complex on Belarusian technologies to be built in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A dairy-commodity complex for Belarusian technologies will be built in Tashkent region, Head of the Foreign Economic Activity Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Belarus Alexey Bogdanov told reporters on the fields of the 1st Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Uzbekistan on Monday, reports Belt.

It is planned to create a farm there processing plant technologies), to supply equipment and livestock from Belarus", Alexei Bogdanov said.

Belarus supplies poultry meat and beef to Uzbekistan, a wide range of dairy products, sugar, confectionery, grocery products.

“Last year we exported agricultural products worth US$17 million to Uzbekistan. In addition, a store of Belarusian goods opened in Tashkent, which we plan to fill with our food in a wide range of US$800–900 thousand a year,” the head of the main department for foreign economic activity said.

- We have a great potential in the development of our supplies to Uzbekistan. We analyzed the annual imports of Uzbekistan and see in which areas we can direct additional volumes. These are such positions as dry dairy products, whole milk products, meat, breeding cattle. Last year, we supplied 275 heads of pedigree livestock for the development of dairy farming, this year supplies continued: in six months, we have already supplied 91 livestock heads. This year we have started delivering horses to Uzbekistan. ” - noted Alexey Bogdanov.

The First Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Uzbekistan is held on 29-30 July. It is timed to the official visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Belarus. The program of the forum provides for the work of three sections: on issues of industrial cooperation, the agro-industrial complex, as well as interaction in the humanitarian, information and communication, and scientific fields.

During the section on the agro-industrial complex, it is planned to discuss not only trade and economic cooperation, but also partnership in the veterinary field, the field of animal husbandry and breeding, crop production, and agricultural education.

The main theme of the plenary session on 30 July will be the cooperation of the regions as a key factor in the development of interstate relations.
