Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Criminal Investigation Department of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate in Tashkent received information that gambling for money is being organized in a billiard club in Yashnabad district of the capital. The information was confirmed during the investigation.
When examining the institution, it was found that its head, 53-year-old Bahrom A., had a separate room in the building for gambling, which indicates systematic conduct of risk-based games.
At the moment when officers of the Main Internal Affairs Directorate of Tashkent came to the club with verification, there were 6 people — poker players and three of the club’s staff, namely 48-year-old Mirzokhid I., 24-year-old Davlatbek D. and previously convicted 25 2-year-old Timur Zh., US$2,700, 6,000,000 soums and chips for playing “Poker” were seized as material evidence.
A criminal case has been opened. The investigation continues.
