A Branch of the International Solar Energy Society (ISES) to Open in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of a World Bank–funded project, the “Semiconductor Instrument Engineering” and “Solar Thermal and Energy Devices” laboratories of the Institute of Physics and Technology at the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan participated in the World Solar Congress (SWC-2025), held in Fortaleza, Brazil.

Following the congress, an agreement was signed to establish an ISES branch in Uzbekistan.

This cooperation opens up broad opportunities for implementing major scientific projects, training and professional development of specialists, and transferring advanced solar technologies to the country.

Experts note that joining the work of such a reputable international organization will significantly influence the development of solar energy in Uzbekistan, helping drive innovation and the implementation of large-scale scientific and technological initiatives.
