Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A 68-year-old woman living in Shaykhantakhur district of Tashkent was treated at the Republican Scientific Center for Emergency Medical Aid.

On 15 July, diagnosed with COVID-19, she was placed in the intensive care unit of the multidisciplinary clinic of the Tashkent Medical Academy in critical condition and connected to a ventilator.

The patient also suffered from concomitant diseases such as ischemic heart disease, angina pectoris, postinfarction cardiosclerosis, diabetes mellitus.

Despite resuscitation procedures performed by doctors in accordance with standards, the patient’s condition deteriorated and she died from acute respiratory and cardiovascular failure and pulmonary edema.
