Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 10 July 2020, a 37-year-old man, a resident of Nukus, was admitted to the Republican Infectious Diseases Hospital with complaints of fever, general weakness and dry cough, the Ministry of Health reports.
He was diagnosed with severe COVID-19 infection, bilateral pneumonia, and acute respiratory distress syndrome. The disease was accompanied by acute respiratory failure, complications of brain tumors. The patient also had comorbidities such as grade 3 obesity and ischemic heart disease.
During the treatment of the patient in the hospital, doctors conducted online consultations and the treatment process was carried out on the basis of expert recommendations.
However, despite the resuscitation procedures performed by doctors in accordance with the standards, the patient’s condition worsened, and he died from acute respiratory and cardiovascular failure, a brain tumor.
