A 20 MW Wind Power Plant is Being Built in Bostanlyk District

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Construction of the Charvak Wind Power Plant with a capacity of 20 megawatts is underway in Bostanlyk District of Tashkent Region.

The project, which began in July 2025, is scheduled for commissioning in 2026.

Once operational, the plant is expected to generate an average of 50 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, reducing natural gas consumption by 15 million cubic meters and preventing approximately 22,000 tons of harmful emissions from entering the atmosphere.

The new power station will provide electricity to around 20,000 households, supporting sustainable regional development and increasing the share of renewable energy sources in the country’s power system.
