A 13-Year-Old Uzbek Citizen Returned from Türkiye After Being in a Difficult Situation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 8 October 2025 at 20:35, a flight from Istanbul, Türkiye, arrived at Ferghana International Airport carrying a 13-year-old Uzbek citizen who was returned to his homeland.
Abroad, the minor found himself in a difficult life situation and sought assistance from the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Istanbul.
Thanks to the prompt joint actions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Agency for Social Protection under the President of Uzbekistan, the child was safely repatriated.
At Ferghana Airport, he was met by staff from the Kokand City Center for Social Services “Inson”. Currently, arrangements are being made to place the boy under the care of his grandmother, while measures are being taken to ensure his safety and well-being.
Social support and psychological assistance for the minor will continue at his permanent place of residence.
At present, representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Agency for Social Protection, and the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan are on official assignments in the Russian Federation and the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In the near future, a working visit to Türkiye is planned, during which more than 30 Uzbek children left without parental care are expected to be returned to their homeland.
