94% of IUT Pre-University Courses students enrolled to universities
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- 94% of students of Pre-University Courses of Continuing Education Center under Inha University in Tashkent (IUT) were admitted to universities of Uzbekistan and abroad.

Manager of IUT Continuing Education Center Amirulla Abdullaev mentioned that Inha University in Tashkent established the Continuing Education Center to prepare young people for entrance examinations of the universities.

“We pay attention to the quality of education. We attracted experienced and highly qualified teachers to our courses and not only strictly control the whole process of training, but also conduct a thorough selection,” Amirulla Abdullaev stated.

"In terms of numbers, at the beginning of 2016-2017 academic year we registered 370 students for the courses in Mathematics, Physics and English language. Only 118 of 370 students managed to participate in the Final examinations of Pre-University Courses. These numbers show how serious we are about the quality of education process,” Amirulla Abdullaev said.

This in turn, gives good results. In the result of the entrance examinations to universities, which took place this year, 94% of students of Pre-University Courses of Continuing Education Center entered higher education institutions in Uzbekistan and abroad. For comparison, last year 82% of IUT Pre-University Courses’ students became students of higher education institutions.

Amirulla Abdullaev commented: “It is great that 73% of our students enrolled to Inha University in Tashkent, which is 12 percent more compared to last year.”

Only students of Pre-University Course have a chance to become IUT students without taking entrance exams. Students, who got over 60% in the result of Pre-University Course Final Exam or 30% of the best students of Pre-University Course become IUT students. At the same time, they have a chance to participate in IUT entrance exam and try to win one of the grants.

“This year, 42 Pre-University students entered to IUT after the Pre-University Final Exams. At the same time, five of them still are students of 1 or 2 courses of professional colleges or academic lyceums. They will be accepted to IUT without exams once they graduate their colleges or lyceums. Other 34 young people became IUT students based on IUT Entrance Examinations,” Abdullaev said.

Another 22 students of Pre-University Courses entered other universities in Uzbekistan and foreign countries, including Russia.

Amirulla Abdullaev welcomed everyone willing to become IUT student in the future to the Pre-University Courses.
