Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Aktau (Kazakhstan) confirmed the information circulated in the media that on 20 November 2019, in Khromtau district of Aktobe region, the bus that was traveling along the Samara-Shymkent route, in which 57 people, including 55 citizens of Uzbekistan, stopped due to a technical breakdown.
The compatriots, with the help of the Department of Emergency Situations of the region, were evacuated to a heating station, and among them there was no need for medical assistance. The cause of the breakdown was the fact that despite the cold weather, the bus used the summer view as a fuel, which froze. Repair and restoration work is currently underway.
The Consulate General has taken control of the situation and is in constant contact with the relevant authorities of Kazakhstan.
At the same time, the Consular Law Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs once again draws the attention of Uzbek citizens to the need to take risks into account and take appropriate measures when entering, as well as traveling in the winter in Kazakhstan by bus or other means of automobile transport.
