Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Committee for Competition Development and Consumer Rights Protection reported the results of monitoring exchange trading of wheat products, conducted to stabilize domestic market prices.

The inspection led to the suspension of 29 entities from participating in exchange trading due to violations of current legislation.

Under existing rules, wheat and flour products are classified as socially significant goods and must be sold exclusively through the exchange.

The monitoring revealed that some enterprises failed to list flour products produced from state-supplied wheat on the exchange or did not comply with required trading volumes. Consequently, starting April 3, the Committee removed 29 enterprises from the exchange participant list.

Additionally, during the first quarter, legal cases were initiated against 25 milling companies that violated the procedures for selling flour purchased with state funds. Appropriate sanctions will be applied in accordance with the law.

The Committee emphasized that mandatory listing of products on the exchange is a key measure for price stabilization, and any procedural violations will be strictly addressed under the law.
