22 Bus Routes to Operate on Shota Rustaveli Street Using New BRT Lane

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A dedicated bus lane for BRT-type vehicles has been launched for the first time on Shota Rustaveli Street in Tashkent, the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan reported.

On 7 October, 2025, traffic on the new lane began for the first group of routes. At the initial stage, buses No. 38, 57, and 58 are operating along the full length of the street. Other routes will use the dedicated lane on specific sections depending on their routes.

In total, 22 bus routes are expected to operate along Shota Rustaveli Street, which will significantly improve the speed and regularity of public transport on one of the busiest thoroughfares of the capital.
